Helen M (Boll) Martin, 86, formerly of Lititz, and Shippensburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at her residence at Landis Homes, Lititz after a few weeks of declining health.

Born in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Martha Garber Miller. Helen worked for the former Lititz 5 and 10 Store in her early years. She was the wife of the late Raymond C. Martin who died in 2002, and her first husband the late Sanford H. Boll who died in 1973. Helen was a member of Erb Mennonite Church, Lititz, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Womens Sewing Circle. Her interests included: sewing, crocheting and knitting.

Surviving are four sons: James L. husband of Darlene Weaver Boll of Flatgap, Kentucky, J. Marlin husband of Linda Bomberger Boll of Lititz, Leon S. husband of Linda Nissley Boll of East Petersburg, Nelson E. husband of Linda Martin Boll of Lititz, a step daughter, Rosemary Keener of Chambersburg, five step sons: Galen (Gail) Martin, Eugene (Nancy) Martin, Dwight (Joanne) Martin, Allen (Joyce) Martin all of Franklin County, Guy Martin of Lancaster, 16 grandchildren, 35 step grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 98 step great grandchildren, and a sister, Lois (Miller) Martin of Lititz. Preceding her in death is a daughter, Rachel E. Lefever, and a sister, Margaret Miller Shellenberger.

The Boll and Martin Families would like to thank the staff of Landis Homes Retirement Community, and Hospice Of Lancaster County for their care, concern, and kindness they shared with Helen during her illness and home going.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the Erb Mennonite Church, 567 West Lexington Road, Lititz, on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Wesley D. Siegrist, Pastor Michael S. Zimmerman, and Pastor Lester L. Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing at the Landis Homes Retirement Community, EAST BETHANY CHAPEL 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz, on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.Friends may visit with the family at the Erb Mennonite Church on Saturday morning from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM with a viewing immediately following the funeral service.
