Harold Anderson Jr.

November 25, 1923 — September 2, 2015

Harold Anderson, Jr., 91, of Newmanstown, formerly of Manheim and New Jersey passed away unexpectedly at home on September 2, 2015. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Harold Sr. and Irene Johnson Anderson. He was the loving husband of Lucille T. O’Brien Anderson and they would have celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in October. Harold worked for Middlesex Pastry Shop, New Jersey for 9 years and West Machine Works, Metuchen, NJ for 36 years. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WW II as a Machinist Mate First Class. Harold was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Robesonia and a former member of St. Richard Catholic Church, Manheim. He was also a former member of Dunellen VFW, New Jersey. His interests included reading, woodworking, puzzles and he loved to spend time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Judith wife of Charles Waldron of Lebanon, four granddaughters, twelve great grandchildren and a brother, Robert Carl Anderson of Hackettstown, NJ. He was preceded in death by a great grandson, Andrew William Ronald.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Richard Catholic Church, 110 North Oak Street, Manheim on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Father Mark Wrightson as celebrant. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
