Gladys R. Brubaker

Gladys R. Brubaker, 96, formerly of Lititz passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. Born in Mansfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel P. and Arbutus Laing Jaquish. She was the wife of the late Olin W. Brubaker who died in 2014 and he owned Brubaker Roofing in Lititz for over 60 years.

Retired in 1985, Gladys worked thirty six years for RCA, Lancaster. In her earlier years, she attended the Lititz Church of God. Her interests included traveling and playing cards, especially pinochle. Gladys loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Surviving are two sons, Karl (Brubaker) Buus of Elizabethtown, Victor husband of Donna Buus of Lebanon, a daughter, Rosetta wife of Willis Hackman of Elizabethtown, two grandsons, Victor Buus Jr. and Tony Hackman, three great grandchildren and two sisters, Donna Brown of Bird-In-Hand and Priscilla Stopher of Anoka, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by a son, Arne J. Buus, four brothers, Dr. Joseph, Francis, Daniel, and Elvin Jaquish, and four sisters, Martha Barocco, Lorraine Thomas, Arbutus Nielsen and Christine Zellner.
