Emily E. Mesner

Emily E. Mesner, 89, of Manheim, and formerly of Lancaster, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Spring Township, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Johanna A. Laube Mesner. In 1990 Emily retired as Assistant Treasurer for Lancaster Press Inc. where she was employed for 37 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Manheim. Emily was a graduate of Manheim High School and attended Juilliard School of Music in New York. She was an original member of the Lancaster Symphony as First Bassoon. Emily was also a member of York, Harrisburg, and Reading Symphonies, and Spring Garden Band of York. She provided private lessons on all woodwind instruments. She was the last of her immediate family.

Friends are invited to attend Emily’s memorial service in the Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Memorial Garden.
