Elva F. Bomberger

December 4, 1925 — May 13, 2018

Elva F. Bomberger, 92, of Lititz, died peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Brethren Village. Born in Ephrata Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Ellen N. Faus Bollinger. Elva was the loving wife of the late Jay Lloyd Bomberger who died in December of last year. The couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on October 4, 2017. For many years Elva helped her husband on the family farm in Warwick Township; previously she worked in the office for the former Raybestos Manhattan Inc., Manheim. She was an active and faithful member of the Lititz Church of the Brethren, where she was a member of the Rose of Sharon Sunday school class; and helped with the nursery and Bible school. For over 25 years Elva volunteered at the Lancaster General Hospital through the American Red Cross Gray Lady Service Program. She was a member of two card club groups in the Lititz area, and a member of a bowling league in Manheim. She enjoyed golfing and traveling with her husband throughout the years. Elva and Jay Lloyd were the model for loving parents and grandparents throughout all their years, spending time attending sporting and other activities that the family participated in. Elva and Jay Lloyd provided love in abundance to each and every family member.

Surviving are two sons: Tim husband of Linda Bomberger, David husband of Cathy Bomberger all of Lititz, seven grandchildren: Brock, Brie, Blair, Kelly, Jennifer, Ashley, Courtney, fifteen great grandchildren, and a sister, Edith Tennis of Lititz. Preceding her in death is a daughter, Beth Bomberger, a great grandson, Luke Michael Stoltzfus, and two brothers: Walter and Harry Bollinger.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Elva’s service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving at the Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
