Elona A. MacMath

Elona A. MacMath, 91, formerly of Mayfair, died Sunday January 25, 2015 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA where she was a resident. She was the widow of the late Dr. Norman Charles MacMath who died in 2011. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Sylvan and Elona (Safka) Farr. She was a graduate of Frankford High School, class of 1942. She worked at the Navy Depot in Philadelphia and in Sampson, NY. She was a member of Disston Memorial Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia and was involved in the Jeans Hospital and Philadelphia College of Podiatric Medicine Ladies Auxiliaries.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne C. husband of Maureen MacMath of Philadelphia, Robert C. husband of Debby MacMath of Croydon, PA, three grandchildren, Rachel, Lauren, Robert, Jr., one great-granddaughter, Violet and two step-granddaughters, Stacy and Kelly.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Disston Memorial Presbyterian Church, 4500 Tyson Ave. Philadelphia PA on Saturday February 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM. There will be a time of visitation with the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
