Elaine S. Peters

Elaine S. Peters, 62, formerly of Manheim, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Longwood Manor, Maytown. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin S. and Betty I. Shonk Peters and step-mother, Verna L. Sauder Peters of Manheim. Elaine graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1973 and in her earlier years, she worked for the Mennonite Home in the food service department. She was a member of Newport Church, Elm.

Surviving in addition to her step-mother are two brothers, Clyde S. husband of Eunice Sensenig Peters of Manheim and Mark S. Peters of Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janice P. Gerhart.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Hernley Mennonite Church, 746 Lebanon Road, Manheim on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM. There will be a public viewing from 12:30 PM until the time of service. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
