Dorothy Marie Buller

September 9, 1921 — April 19, 2011

Dorothy M. "Margo" Buller, 89, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on April 19, 2011 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy, after a short period of illness. Dorothy was the loving wife of Merle J. Buller, who entered into Heaven May 20, 2005. They were married August 18, 1946 in the Florin United Brethren Church and had 58 wonderful years together. She is survived by a daughter, Margo J. wife of Donald L. Fry of Washington Boro; two grandchildren, Angela R. wife of Charles E. Adams of Columbia, and Jerald S. husband of Kimberly Christman Fry of Parryville; and two great grandchildren Connor Quincy Adams age 8 and Nathan Adam Fry age 3. Dorothy was born September 21, 1921 in Hollidaysburg, PA. She had two brothers, Edward Marks married to Kathern McGillis, both deceased, and Francis Marks, deceased, married to Betty J. Nash Marks, who still resides in Hollidaysburg. A free spirited young woman she left home in 1941 and adopted the name of Margo. She worked as a nurse's aide at the former State Hospital for Crippled Children in Elizabethtown. When the war started, she passed a Civil Service Test and was assigned to the former Middletown Air Depot and also worked at the Naval Air Base in Philadelphia from 1943 to 1945, and retired from Engle Printing of Mount Joy. She loved music and played the violin, accordion, and accompanied her daughter Margo Jean on the marimba. She also enjoyed oil painting and was very creative. Dorothy was a member of the Glossbrenner United Methodist Church of Mount Joy since 1948. She supported the New Life for Girls and the Rainbow Club. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Heilig Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St, Mount Joy, on Friday April 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor John Smith officiating. Interment will be in Camp Hill Cemetery, Mount Joy. There will be a public viewing on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Friends and family are welcome to join the Fry Family for a luncheon at the fellowship hall of the Glossbrenner United Methodist Church, after the services. Please omit flowers, contributions in Dorothy's memory may be sent to Glossbrenner United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund, 713 Church St., Mount Joy Pa 17552 or to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster PA 17604.
