Chris "Lanky" Bishop

Chris “Lanky” Bishop, 42, of Mount Joy, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, he was the loving son of Lois L. Schreier Bishop of Mount Joy, and the late C. LaMar Bishop. Chris worked as a computer technician for many years. Chris used his uncanny ability of predicting stock market and technology trends to help family and friends with investment ideas. He was a passionate fan for the Kansas City Chiefs Football Team, and enjoyed playing in the Fantasy Football League. He loved target shooting, and engaging with anyone he would meet about national and world events and politics.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Lois, is a sister, Jessica Bishop of St. Albans, Vermont, maternal uncles: Larry Schreier (Sherri), David Schreier (Cindy), Jim Schreier, Jeff Schreier (Jenn), Steve Schreier (Liz), a maternal aunt, Diane Schreier, paternal uncle, Bruce Bishop (Alice), and a paternal aunt, Marilyn Godshall. He was preceded in death by a maternal uncle, Mike Schreier.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Chris’ Memorial Service, in the Chapel at Grace Church of Lititz, 501 West Lincoln Avenue, Lititz, on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family in the Chapel on Saturday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Chris’ memory to Mount Joy Community Food Bank, 37 East Main Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
