Carolyn S. Shelly

Carolyn S. Shelly, 81, formerly of Manheim, died peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Luther Acres Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late A. Charles and Elva Stauffer Graybill. A homemaker, Carolyn was the loving wife of the late Samuel S. Shelly who died in June of last year. She was a faithful member of Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, Manheim. Her interests included: flower gardening, traveling, bird watching, reading and spending time with her family.

Surviving is a daughter, Cheryl E. wife of Glenn Ruhl of Lititz, two grandsons: Ryan husband of Amanda Ruhl; and Jared Ruhl, a sister, Rhoda wife of Hans Hercher of Harrisburg. Preceding her in death is a brother, C. Edward Graybill, and a sister, Marian Reist.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
