Carl D. Bomberger

Carl D. Bomberger, 89, of Lancaster, died peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Penryn, he was the son of the late Claude and Mary Dohner Bomberger. Carl was the husband of Greta Reimer Bomberger and they observed their 63rd wedding anniversary in August of this year. For many years Carl worked for the RCA Corporation, Lancaster, until his retirement. A veteran, Carl served in the military in both the Navy and Army branches. He was an active and faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Penryn.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Greta is a daughter, Dorian Bomberger married to Robert Miranda of Oakton, VA., a son, Kerry S. Bomberger married to Denise Strohm Bomberger of Manheim, three grandchildren: Deziree Bomberger, Alexandra and Nicholas Miranda, and a sister-in-law, Lois Irvin Bomberger of Manheim. Preceding him in death is a brother, Isaac Bomberger.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Penryn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Carl’s memory to: Hospice & Community Care, P. O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
