Betty B. McGeehan

Betty B. McGeehan, 90, of Manheim, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 following a brief illness at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Harrisonburg, VA; she was the daughter of the late William W. Jr. and Aldena Wilhelm Byars. She was the loving wife of the late Paul G. McGeehan who died in January of 1984. Betty was a self-employed seamstress; she also helped her husband in the family business for over 25 years when they owned and operated Action Tire Company, Manheim. She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church, Manheim. Betty had a life-long passion for her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons: John husband of Nancy Roland Mitchell of Mount Gretna, Patrick husband of Annette Callis McGeehan of Manheim, Brian P. husband of Sally Garner McGeehan of Mount Gretna, seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Preceding her in death is a brother, William Byars III.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township.
