Barbara A. Swartz

Barbara A. Swartz, 88, of Manheim, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 17, 2010 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Columbia. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Henry S. and Sarah E. Marks Boyd. Barbara was employed in the clerical field. She was the last original charter member of Grace Brethren Church of Manheim where she was involved in music ministry and taught Bible school.
She is survived by a sister, Joan E. Groff of Manheim, six nieces and nephews, Carolyn Hussar, Colleen McMonigal, Kim Goodlarvage, Henry, Cory and Andrew Boyd, five great nieces and nephews, Caryn and James Hussar, Stephanie Baxter, Shawn McMonigal, Ashley Erb and five great great nieces and nephews, Ezmeralda and Kole McMonigal, Gabriel and Camilo Hussar and Carter Baxter . She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry A. Boyd.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Grace Brethren Church of Manheim, 333 East High Street, Manheim on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jeffrey L. Dunkle officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a public viewing at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
