Arvilla J. Buckwalter

Arvilla J. Buckwalter, 91, of Lititz, died peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Luther Acres. Born in Penryn, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Anna Eitnier Keath. She was a 1945 graduate of Lititz High School. Arvilla was the loving wife of Richard E. Buckwalter who died in June of 2013. Her and her husband worked together on their farm in Manheim Township for over 40 years. In their retirement they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. She was a faithful and active member of Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill. Arvilla volunteered for Luther Acres for over 35 years. Her interests included vegetable and flower gardening, traveling to the family cabin in Perry County, shopping, visiting with friends and family, and passionately playing cards anytime she could.

Surviving is a son, Richard K. husband of Martha Buckwalter of Kasson, MN., two daughters: Susan E. wife of Dennis Hoover of Landisville, Beverly J. wife of Scott Weit of Lititz, thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a sister, Beatrice Carlton of Lititz. Preceding her in death is a daughter Carol Diane Drager.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Arvilla’s funeral service at the Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, 26 Owl Hill Road, Lititz, on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Arvilla’s memory to Luthercare’s Caring Fund, 600 East Main Street, Lititz, PA 17543, or to Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, 26 Owl Hill Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
