Lititz Location

Welcome to Buch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lititz, PA. Lititz is a vibrant town that offers one-of-a-kind shops, eateries, and attractions – all bundled in three centuries of rich history and unique architecture. We have been proud to serve the Lititz and surrounding areas ever since 1898 when Thaddeus S. Beck and David W. Hummer started a furniture and undertaking business called Beck and Hummer. In 1899, they expanded and opened a second funeral home in Manheim, PA.

When Mr. Hummer retired in 1912, the funeral home became a family business when Thaddeus Beck’s son, Elmer B. Beck joined the firm, now named T.S. Beck and Son. Eventually, Thaddeus retired and his other son Paul joined Elmer as a partner, creating the Beck Bros. Funeral Home. The third Beck brother, Abram, who started as an assistant at the Lititz location, took over management from 1947 until 1973. That year, Richard Heisey became the owner and director of the Lititz location until 2016.

The funeral homes would remain separated until 2016, when the Heisey Funeral Home became part of the Buch Family of Funeral Homes. Richard Heisey entrusted Theodore J. “Ted” Beck and Aaron Abbott to continue the funeral home’s tradition as the Buch-Heisey Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., successfully rejoining the Manheim and Lititz locations under one name again. In September 2016, the funeral home became Buch Funeral Home & Creamtion Services, Inc.
